The notch, working.
notchos turns the dead strip around your MacBook's camera into a live tool belt — a quiet pill at rest, the panel above your whole screen, one hover away. Your clock, your takings, your timers, your files.

Drop it on the notch
Drop files on the pill and a fifteen-tile grid springs open — AirDrop, zip, unzip, convert to JPEG, PNG or PDF, move to Desktop, Downloads or Documents, duplicate, reveal, open, trash, eject. Keep only the moves you use.

Layerable ambient soundscapes, every one procedurally synthesized — nothing downloaded, nothing to stream. Stack rain over waves over brown noise, and let the fade-out timer ease it all down at the end of a focus session.

Dictation that never leaves the Mac
Hold the push-to-talk key and the pill takes itself over: waveform, live transcript, everything as you say it. Cleanup strips the ums and fixes punctuation, numbers, and prices; spoken commands, emoji by name, and snippets land as you speak. It drops typed into whatever app is frontmost — and ⌘Z takes it back.

The market, and your marrow
A keyless watchlist — stocks, crypto, FX, daily deltas — ticking beside the pill. And the inside track: move, water and mindful rings, guided breathing, and 20-20-20 eye-break nudges.

How it behaves
- Runs entirely on your Mac — the only network calls are the integrations you connect yourself
- Read-only service keys stay in local storage; there is no usage telemetry, ever
- Works without a physical notch: a simulated pill on externals and notch-less Macs
- Hides in fullscreen for presentations; hover-dwell or click to open, delays tunable
- Vanishes from screenshots and screen sharing entirely — window capture fails while it's on

Questions, answered
- Does it work on a Mac without a notch?
- Yes. On externals and notch-less Macs, notchos renders a simulated pill at the top of the display and everything else works identically.
- Where do my service API keys live?
- On your Mac. Integrations are read-only, credentials stay in local storage, and every request is made by the app itself — there is no notchos telemetry in the middle.
- Does dictation send my voice anywhere?
- No. Recognition runs on-device through Apple’s Speech framework, audio buffers are discarded the moment a session ends, and your transcript history stays local with a retention window you choose.
- Is it really one payment?
- It is. $9.99, once: twenty tools, on-device dictation, every integration, all fifteen themes, licensed for three of your Macs. No subscription to forget about.
- What happens when I buy?
- Checkout runs on Dodo Payments. The moment payment succeeds, a license key is generated and emailed to you. Paste it into Settings → License inside the app and you are done.
- Can I move the license to a new Mac?
- Any time. A license holds three device slots; deactivate one in Settings → License and activate on the new machine. Lost the key? The license page re-sends it to your purchase email.
- Which macOS do I need?
- macOS 14 or newer, on Apple Silicon or Intel.
