The whole tool belt
A quiet pill at rest, a spring-open panel on hover, twenty tools inside — plus seven more surfaces beyond the panel. Everything below runs locally on your Mac; the only network calls are the ones you connect yourself.
The resting pill
At rest the notch shows one live activity of your choosing. Hover, and it opens; leave, and it settles back.
- the clock
- now playing, with artwork and EQ bars
- today's revenue
- live visitors
- a timer counting down
- battery level
- Claude token usage
- a custom dot-matrix message
- the scratchpad
On Macs without a physical notch — or on external displays — notchos renders a simulated pill at the top of the screen and everything works identically.
The panel, key by key
- Home
- The panel’s landing key: now playing, your next event, a quick launcher, battery, and system rings in one glance.
- Revenue
- Live takings from Stripe, Polar, and Dodo. A banner springs from the pill on every sale; the running total never leaves the notch until you do.
- Analytics
- Visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, and top pages/referrers over 7 or 30 days, straight from your analytics provider.
- Scratchpad
- A persistent place for the phone number you are about to need. Pin it to the resting pill and it waits above everything.
- Shelf
- Park files by dragging them into the notch; drag them out into any app when you need them. Nothing is copied, nothing is uploaded.
- Calendar
- A 7-day agenda with tickable reminders and quick add, read from your real calendars via EventKit.
- Timers
- Pomodoro with cycle memory, countdowns, a lap stopwatch, and hydration nudges that arrive as native notifications.
- Stats
- CPU, RAM, and disk rings, network throughput, and real battery health — sampled locally, drawn live.
- Screen Time
- Where the day went: today’s total, most-used app, a 7-day chart, and a per-app breakdown from frontmost-app sampling.
- Weather
- Current conditions, feels-like, hourly, and week ranges from Open-Meteo. No key, no account.
- Clipboard
- A searchable history of text, links, images, and files, each tagged with the app it came from.
- Notes
- A list beside an editor, persisted. The notch is one hover away from being your notebook.
- Files
- Convert and shrink images locally — JPEG, PNG, HEIC, PDF — using the macOS toolchain already on your disk.
- Links
- Search Google, DuckDuckGo, Perplexity, YouTube, and GitHub, plus any site you add, from one field.
- Emoji
- The full catalog — 3,944 emoji, searchable and categorized, generated from Unicode’s own test data.
- Sounds
- Layerable ambient soundscapes, procedurally synthesized, with a fade-out timer for focus sessions.
- Message
- Dot-matrix text in the notch with Bounce, Wave, Sparkle, Pulse, and Rainbow modes, in any color, with flash.
- Claude
- Claude Code usage: tokens, sessions, projects, and a streak grid, read from your local logs.
- Units
- Length, mass, temperature, data, and speed conversions with the discipline of a good kitchen scale.
- Color Picker
- A screen loupe that samples any pixel and hands you HEX, RGB, and HSL.
Beyond the panel
Seven more surfaces live beside the twenty.
- Services
- one dashboard for every integration below
- Markets
- stocks, crypto, FX watchlist — no key needed
- Feeds
- RSS/Atom reader with unread tracking
- Habits
- local daily streaks on a 7-day grid
- Translate
- LLM translation, OpenAI or local Ollama
- Health
- breaks, water, mindful rings, eye-break nudges
- Dictation
- on-device speech-to-text — live transcript, cleanup, insert into any app
The machine itself
- Drop Actions — drop files on the notch: shelf, AirDrop, zip, convert, move, and more, fifteen toggleable tiles
- Window snap — drag a window against the notch for tiling zones (Accessibility, off by default)
- Hides from screenshots, recording, and screen sharing — verified: window capture fails while it is on

- Dashboard profiles with time-based auto-switching; resting-pill live-strip rotation
- Timer-done pill takeover, pomodoro chime, Bluetooth low-battery alerts

- Menu-bar tray with open and quit; launch at login
- Native notifications for timers, hydration, and sales
- macOS-style settings window with per-tool enable switches
- Hover-dwell and click modes, with open and close delay tuning
