Refunds
Last updated September 2026
The short version
If notchos is not for you, ask for a refund and you will get one. We would rather return nine ninety-nine than keep money from someone who is not using the app — a refund costs less than a resent customer.
How to ask
Payments run through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, so the refund does too: reply to your Dodo receipt email, or contact Dodo support with your order reference. If you cannot find the receipt, the license page re-sends your key to the purchase email, which confirms the address to refund.
What happens to the license
- A refunded key stops activating. No kill switch reaches into your Mac — the key simply fails its next validation, and enforcement is local trust after that.
- Your data stays yours. Notes, clipboard history, habits, and settings live under your own Application Support directory and are untouched by a refund.
- Deactivating is not refunding. If you only want to move a slot to another Mac, do that in Settings → License instead — the license keeps working.
Window and limits
Refunds are processed through Dodo Payments and follow its policies for timing and payment-method specifics. We do not impose additional conditions — there is no usage meter to interrogate, because the app has no telemetry to read one from. Buying three licenses does not entitle three refunds on day eighty-nine; ordinary sense applies.
If something is broken
Before refunding a bug, tell us — the changelog moves fast, and what is broken today is often fixed in the release already on the feed. Either way, you never have to choose between waiting and your money.
