Terms of sale
Last updated September 2026
1. What you are buying
notchos is a macOS application that adds a tool panel around your MacBook's camera notch. A purchase buys a license to use the software as it exists and as it is updated, for the life of the product. It is licensed, not sold: you do not acquire the source code or any rights beyond use.
2. The license
One license key covers three (3) computers that you own or control, used by you personally. You may move slots between machines by deactivating one and activating another — as often as you like, at no cost. You may not share a key with people outside your household, resell it, or publish it. A key that leaks publicly may be revoked and re-issued to the buyer of record.
3. Price and payment
The price is US$9.99, one time. Payments are processed byDodo Payments as merchant of record; applicable taxes are calculated and collected at checkout. Your license key is generated after successful payment and delivered by email to the address you provide at checkout.
4. Refunds
Refunds are handled through Dodo Payments under their consumer policies. When a payment is refunded, the corresponding license stops activating and this site's records of it are retained only as needed to prevent reuse of the refunded key.
5. The software, as is
notchos is provided as is. It reads system information (battery, CPU, screen time, media playback) and, only for integrations you configure yourself, API keys you supply. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors are not liable for damages arising from its use. Updates may add or change features; the license covers the product, not any specific feature list.
6. Trademarks
notchos is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. macOS and MacBook are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other integration names belong to their owners.
7. Contact
Questions about a purchase or a license: use thelicense page first — most answers are in your inbox. For anything else, contact the seller of record through your Dodo Payments receipt.
