Use case · For writers
Say the draft. Keep the voice.
On-device dictation that cleans up after itself — and never leaves your Mac.
A first draft at speaking speed
Hold the push-to-talk key and the pill takes itself over: waveform, live transcript, everything as you say it. Release, and the finished text lands wherever your cursor is.
Cleanup that keeps your voice
The ums go, punctuation and capitalization fix themselves, numbers and prices write properly, and “name at gmail dot com” becomes an email address. Deterministic rules, not a model rewriting your sentences.
The supporting cast
Scratchpad for the line you don’t want to lose, Notes for the ones that grow, and Sounds underneath it all when the room is too quiet.

Fair questions
- Does my voice get uploaded anywhere?
- No. Recognition runs on-device through Apple’s Speech framework, buffers are discarded when a session ends, and history stays local with a retention window you choose.
- Can I undo an insert?
- Yes — insertion is a real paste, so ⌘Z in the target app takes it straight back out.
