The dock

The row of tool keys inside the opened panel, in your order.

What it means

Inside an opened notch panel, the dock is the strip of tool keys — the table of contents for everything the app does. Order is a preference; a dock you cannot rearrange is a drawer someone else organized.

Why it matters

Muscle memory needs a stable, personal layout. Drag-to-reorder is the difference between hunting for a tool and knowing where it lives.

How notchos does it

The dock renders your enabled tools in your order, drag to reorder, with a hidden group keeping the disabled ones out of sight but reachable.

Fair questions

How many tools can the dock hold?
Twenty panel tools plus the seven beyond-panel surfaces — enable only what you use.
Does disabling a tool delete its data?
No. Settings and data persist; the switch only removes it from the panel.
