Notchy vs notchos
Notchy gives your Mac the iPhone’s Dynamic Island feel for free — fluid animations, live-activity vibes, and a face-unlock trick that wakes your Mac when you look at it. As a free style piece it is genuinely fun.
Notchy’s own site — see it for yourself before deciding anything.
Where Notchy wins
- Free, native, and fluid — the closest thing to the iPhone gesture on a Mac.
- Face Unlock is a party trick nothing else in this list has.
Where notchos differs
- notchos is a working tool belt first: twenty tools, dictation, integrations, timers, stats, files.
- Live activities that are your data — takings, visitors, tokens, battery — not vibes.
- Fifteen themes when the island needs dressing for your desktop.
The honest verdict
Notchy for the look; notchos for the work. They are not really competitors — one is a statement, the other is a tool belt.
