Glossary
Dashboard profiles
Named arrangements of enabled tools that switch on a schedule.
What it means
A profile is a saved configuration — which tools are enabled, what the pill shows — and time-based auto-switching changes profiles as the day moves: work tools in the morning, something quieter in the evening.
Why it matters
The same notch serves a workday and an evening; profiles stop you re-configuring it by hand twice a day.
How notchos does it
Profiles carry their own schedule and switch automatically, with per-tool enable switches underneath for fine tuning.
Fair questions
- Do profiles change the theme?
- They change what is enabled and what rests in the pill; the fifteen themes are chosen separately.
- What happens at the boundary time?
- The scheduled profile simply becomes current — nothing reopens or interrupts what you were doing.
